During the production of sustainable natural trees, only a few plant protection products are used and those that are have been subjected to a strict approval process with a focus on clean groundwater. The plant protection products are stored, handled and used safely.
Only trained personnel are allowed to work with plant protection products, and their training must be updated every 4 years. Plant protection products are handled with the utmost care in order to avoid spillages, and only approved equipment is used during application.
The use of plant protection products is subject to the IPM principles of substitution for less harmful alternatives and application according to need.
There is a requirement to submit annual reports on the amount of plant protection products used.
